Brian
Leslie Brian became an auctioneer in 1979 after leaving school. Beginning work at Warragul selling bobby calves, Brian began judging calf shows, and due in part to his photographic memory for recalling pedigrees, he quickly worked his way up to become undisputedly Australia's leading auctioneer. Throughout his career Brian has sold the record price for all dairy breeds and sold at the largest dairy sales in Australia. Since 1988 Brian has sold Australian breeds at record sales throughout Australia and New Zealand, and assisted with prominent sales in Canada. Most recently, Brian sold the highest and second highest average for Angus Beef sales in Australia. As Australia's
most successful auctioneer, Brian has been invited to judge at some
of the world's largest cattle sales and shows. Most notably, Brian is
the only Australian invited to judge Holsteins in Canada for the past
30 years and has actually done so ten times including the Royal Winter
Fair in 1998 and Hays Scotiabank Classic (380 head). Nationally, Brian
has judged at least once at all of the Royal Shows in Australia for
most dairy breeds. Brian has judged a number of times at New Zealand's
major shows including three times at the Dairy Expo and has judged at
Germany's National Show. |
